Logo design and stationery package

DESCRIPTION

Dobbs Mechanical is a commercial and residential plumbing and heating contractor based in Fairbanks, Alaska. In preparation for the company’s launch, Mad Dog was asked to create its logo and identity package.

Although the founder has years of experience in the field, he wanted to make sure that the company looked young, energetic, and modern – in contrast to the many established but outdated competitors operating in the area.

Mad Dog’s solution was to co-opt the silhouette of a valve handle for the Dobbs icon, an element familiar to both the plumbing and heating aspects of the business, and one easily recognized by both residential and commercial customers. We rendered the logo in warm orange and gray to combat the chill of a long Fairbanks winter.
