Anchorage, AK – Vitus Energy is the holding company for Vitus Marine and Vitus Terminals. Their core business is managing fuel delivery from a variety of national and international sources to marine and shore-based distributors, utilities, and aviation companies across the state. Their latest venture is the opening of several convenience stores in Southcentral Alaska. The first store – in Sterling – opened in June and offers fuel, groceries, liquor, and hot food service.
Vitus has opened its first convenience store in Sterling.
Mad Dog helped create the trade dress for the Vitus stores, including the building interior and exterior branding, signage, and fuel pumps. Mad Dog designed the original Vitus Energy logo, and these stores use the Vitus identity to maintain consistency with the parent group.
The new store offers groceries, liquor, and hot food service, as well as fuel.
Vitus Terminals operates a retail gasoline and heating fuel station in St. Michaels, Alaska, but the Sterling store is Vitus’ first foray into general retail. The Sterling location was an existing property, but has been completely remodeled. Future locations for Vitus stores include Birchwood and Trappers Creek.
