Anchorage, AK – In 2014, The Alaska Rock Gym began a capital campaign in order to raise the funding needed to expand into their own, standalone building – doubling their current floor plan, adding state-of-the-art climbing walls, and dramatically increasing their climbing and fitness spaces. The New Alaska Rock Gym project is spearheaded by the current founding members of The Alaska Rock Gym in cooperation with the ownership group of the Moose’s Tooth and Bear Tooth, along with a passionate group of new investors. Land and building development for the new gym will run between $5 – 6.5 million, and completing the new facility will cost an estimated $2 million.

Mad Dog was asked to create a marketing brochure as part of the new campaign. The piece outlined the long-range business plan and financial projections of the expansion, noting the owners’ 20 years of experience and an analysis of rock gym trends in the lower 48.
Siri Moss, owner of The Alaska Rock Gym, told Mad Dog, “We are near our capitalization goal on the gym project, so the green light has been given! We plan to break ground on the new building in April.
“The brochure you produced was an integral part of the PPM (private placement memorandum, an offer of shares in a private company) offering that went out to all prospective investors, and it got a very positive response. So yippee, we are on our way to a bright, shiny new gym!”
