Mad Dog Graphx Wins Eight at 23rd Annual Communicator Awards
Anchorage, AK – Mad Dog Graphx won Gold and Silver in the 23rd Annual Communicator Awards. The Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals.
Mad Dog won Gold for the logo they created for Our Alaska, an informal, nonpartisan coalition of rising-generation Alaskans, collaborating on a shared vision and need for progress towards a better future for Alaska. They also brought home Gold for the design of the SOUTH Restaurant + Coffeehouse website that launched last December. SOUTH also won a Silver award in the category for “Visual Appeal.”
The design firm won Silver for three logos – for Raven Management Consulting, Cultural Alaska, and Thrively Digital. Mad Dog also won Silver for an annual report for Anchorage Project Access, and for the 2015–2016 concert season poster series for Alaska Youth Orchestras.
Founded more than two decades ago, the annual Communicator Awards honors the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and identity work for print, video, interactive, and audio. This year’s winners were selected from more than 6000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms, and public relations firms.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an organization of more than 600 leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
“We are both excited and amazed by the quality of work received for the 23rd Annual Communicator Awards. This year’s class of entries is a true reflection of the progressive and innovative nature of marketing and communications,” noted Linda Day, executive director of AIVA. She added, “On behalf of the entire Academy I want to applaud this year’s Communicator Awards entrants and winners for their dedication to perfecting their craft as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.”
