Anchorage, AK – Thrively Digital is Alaska’s newest entry into the world of online marketing agencies. But the firm already has a long history in the state; since 2003, it has been offering customers a results-driven approach to online business development as Apokrisis.
Thrively Digital is the rebrand of longtime Alaska online marketer Apokrisis LLC.
In 2010, Apokrisis merged with Interactive-N-Sites and L.G. Communications to become Apokrisis LLC, and founder Kristen Lindsey was joined by partners Monica Whitt and Lisa Gill.
“As individual business owners, we shared a common approach and the same dedication to customer satisfaction,” said senior creative director Whitt. “After working together for so many years on mutual projects, it became obvious to us that becoming one team was a natural progression.”
Lindsey and Gill shared duties as Internet strategists for the company. But years of growth and changes in the online marketing landscape led the team to believe it was time to address new challenges and opportunities, both for their company and their clients.
Like many design ideas, the Thrively logo started life as a quick sketch to capture a concept.
“While our core services and mission were strong, we realized our business name and perceived brand promise were no longer in alignment,” said Lindsey. “So after careful thought and invaluable assistance from our community, we are proud to announce we are changing our name to Thrively Digital.
We sought a name that would embody client success. Extensive customer interviews and testing pointed to a simple yet key outcome we provide for our client base – we help them thrive. Our new name and logo better reflect our services and the transformational business growth we strive to provide. They also embody unique benefits we offer as a boutique, digital-only marketing agency providing right-sized business solutions that empower clients to make strong business decisions.
Kristen Lindsey introduces the new identity to a potential Thrively client at an Anchorage medical conference in April.
The rebrand transcends a new logo and name. Extensive research with colleagues and clients honed our brand values and vocalized our approach to solving clients’ digital marketing challenges.”
Describing her approach to creating a new logo for the rebranded firm, MDG graphic designer Aurora Hablett said, “Thrively came to us looking for a mark using their new name which would reflect the services they offer and enforce their brand values. With each new project, Thrively applies their core values of approachability, warmth, and responsiveness in addition to their professionalism and tech-savvy, which are required in the constantly evolving digital field. Their mission is to provide online solutions that will grow their client’s results – and from that, the Thrively mark started to take shape.
The design found its roots in Thrively’s tagline, ‘Transformative online marketing solutions.’ The icon combines the ideas of growth and communication, while the wordmark supports approachability through the soft edges, spacing, and lowercase letter forms of “thrively,” paired with the clean professionalism and tech references of “DIGITAL.” The icon is designed to be useful in a variety of spaces, including the square icon prevalent in social media and online presences.”
Thrively Digital’s logo was designed from the beginning with app and social media icons in mind.
