Mad Dog Graphx received eight honors in the recent 2016 Marcom Awards. This was Mad Dog’s second year entering this competition and all three designers at the studio had work selected for recognition.

Logos we created for Thrively Digital (formerly Apokrisis) and Raven Management Consulting won Platinum, as did our holiday ornament cards for The Salmon Project.

Our latest annual report for Anchorage Project Access (APA) and our logo for the Washington Alliance for Gender Equality both won Gold.

And our 2014 annual report for Food Bank of Alaska (FBA), the 2015–16 concert season poster series for Alaska Youth Orchestras (AYO), and our 25th anniversary logo for Carlton Smith Commercial each won honorable mentions.

The international MarCom Awards competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communications professionals. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and 11 other countries in the 2016 competition. Winners were selected from over 300 categories representing efforts in marketing, publication, promotion, public service, creativity, and electronic/interactive media.
MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. The awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization of several thousand creative professionals.
